Back in the X-Men days, when Brian Mannix would do radio interviews, I would tape them. I still have a couple of old cassettes there somewhere. The point being that, while I was a big Brian and Uncanny X-Men fan, I knew that they would also be entertaining and laugh-out-loud funny, because that's what Brian Mannix is. And this book was no different. I'm a stickler for spelling and grammer myself, but I didn't find the errors a distraction from reading the book. And I don't understand why someone would say the book needs to be edited. Do they mean it should be shorter? Because the only criticism I would give the book is that it needed to be longer! I would have loved to have read about the X-Men supporting Dragon on their Dreams of Ordinary Men tour, for starters. As I was reading the book, I was aware of what a lot of work it must have taken to write it. And also what an amazing job Brian has done in keeping himself employed in the entertainment industry all these years. I take my hat off to him. And if Countdown the Musical ever gets another run, I will be there! Thanks for a great read.

Brian Mannix (born 7 October in Melbourne) is an Australian rock music singer and actor. He is best known as the lead singer of s band Uncanny X-Men. He was a regular on television quiz show Spicks and Specks.

From to , Mannix was the lead singer of Australian band Uncanny X-Men. The band released two top twenty albums, 'Cos Life Hurts and What You Give Is What You Get.^[1] The group disbanded in , however continue to do occasional appearances, such as the Countdown Spectacular in ^[2]
